In May, we had a wonderful visit from our friends, Steffen and Carolin Oder. Matt and Steffen were in PSU's MBA program together but our time living together in Portland was far too short. They are living back home in Germany now but came to Portland for a 2 week visit! They surprised us when they got off the airplane with the wonderful news that they are expecting their first baby boy in September!! We had such a great time with them...and hope that Steffen will find a job in the Portland area sometime soon. :-) Matt and I were especially excited because the Oders were our first house guests in our new house...and they set the bar high for anyone else coming to stay with us!! :-)
Steffen tried really hard to fit this chair in his suitcase on the way home. Sorry it didn't fit, Steffen....it's waiting for you when visit next!
The Oders treated us to a FABULOUS dinner at Andina in the Pearl District. Mmmmm, a dinner to remember!
And, if you ever want to know how to really "eat" out....dine with the Germans. Wow, we will never forget that meal!
